Roller Shutters Provided Security & Privacy For Adelaide Residents.
Residents of Adelaide were wanting to increase the security and privacy to their home from the driveway, particularly to the window that was outside the front fence. Keeping the house cool throughout Summer, locked up during the day and warm at night during Winter was also a major consideration.
Being North facing, the Sun hit the large windows for most of the day with the heat magnified through the glass, the house was always hot inside, causing the air conditioner to work quite hard for the first hour to bring the temperature down.
When looking at options, roller shutters sounded like being able to provide the solution to all the problems.
Having used Inviron Blinds before to install outdoor blinds to the rear verandah, Inviron was asked to come out and quote on 4 roller security shutters, along with two other companies for comparative quotes.
With features and benefits of the shutters over those other Adelaide roller shutter companies install, plus the friendly, no pressure approach were the reasons why Inviron Blinds was chosen.
To cover the roll, colour matching cream aluminium pelmet boxes were also manufactured and installed by Inviron.
Security & Privacy
With a 53mm side guide and 50mm bottom bar, each double walled aluminium slat provides protection from nosey visitors, but most importantly, stops intruders from gaining access through the windows, which is one of the major entry points for home break-ins.
Thermal Insulation
Each slat cavity is filled with PU foam, injected during the roll forming process & provides up to 90% reduction in thermal transfer.

After a few weeks of extreme heat, we contacted the customers to find out how effective the shutters were in keeping the lounge, at the front of the house cool during the day.
The clients reported that at 5pm after a 35° C day the room used to be a very uncomfortable 35° C. After installation, with the shutters down during the day, the room temperature was 22° C when it reached 36° C outside. Another benefit that stood out was the dramatic reduction in noise at night. Passing buses used to be heard passing by, but since the shutters were installed, road traffic noise was eliminated.
