Star Progetti Heliosa 66 Seaside Short Wave Infrared Heaters (2000W).
Are you looking for ways to extend the amount of time you can spend outdoors, perhaps under the verandah entertaining friends or relaxing with the family on your outdoor lounge setting, but it’s just to cold?
Many people have investigated outdoor heaters and there’s plenty on the market these days to choose from.
‘Mushroom’ LPG gas heaters are the most popular, but unless you’re sitting right next to them, even with a gentle breeze, you end up paying a lot of money that’s simply disappearing into thin air, plus you’re creating greenhouse gasses at a time when we’re looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint.
Electric heaters have also been tried outdoors, but with the same issue of having to sit so close otherwise again you’re just heating the air which drifts away, along with your money!
Thanks to Inviron’s range of Star Progetti Italian manufactured outdoor infrared heaters using ‘near’ or short wave infrared technology, there is now a cost effective way to stay warm outdoors.
Residential Use
The Heliosa 66 Seaside is perfect for heating large sized outdoor spaces, especially by the sea, warming an area of about 5m by 4.5m, making them ideal for large residential verandas with limited height clearance to the roof line, and if you attach them to one of the Helios stands (sold separately), you can stay warm anywhere within your garden.
Commercial Hospitality Use
If you’re running a café or restaurant by the sea, that has a large outdoor area you’d like to keep your customers warm while they eat and drink, you could install several units strategically spaced out.
Feel free to contact Inviron to have one of their heating specialists work out how many of the popular Heliosa 66 Seaside Short Wave infrared heaters you’d need to keep all your patrons warm, or perhaps one of the other infrared outdoor heaters from the hospitality range would suit your needs better allowing your guests to spend more time enjoying your food and drinks in comfort.
Unlike the Heliosa 44, it will not heat directly underneath the heater from an angled mounting, and this can be advantageous where there are plants or passageways next to the wall.
Its large patented aluminium parabolic reflector means that its heat output offers a real ‘wow’ factor, while knowing that energy costs are kept well under control.
Some hospitality businesses, sceptical about the efficiency and cost savings leave their portable gas heaters in place, that is until they turn on their new Seaside infrared heaters and see the savings on their energy bills.
These clever short wave infrared-heaters have a 92% radiant efficiency, which means you feel warm even in breezy conditions because the heat doesn’t drift away with the wind, they heat solid objects like you and not the air.
There’s no wasted energy or time pre-heating either, reaching full power within 1 second of switching the heater on and thanks to the patented InFraCaLoR® amber halogen lamp there’s an 80% reduction in light output compared to traditional infrared lamps, similar to the glow of an open wood fire.
At 3m above the ground, the Heliosa 66 Seaside projects heat to a distance of 5m and covers a width of 4.5m.
These outdoor heaters can be mounted on a wall or from the ceiling as well to a ‘Scala stand’ to allow mobility. The polished stainless steel (304 grade) casing is waterproof to IPx5, so it can resist sustained low pressure water jet spray.
To make it easier for DIY enthusiasts, the heater comes with a tilt-and-swivel bracket for wall mounting or hook bracket mounting and a 150mm extension bracket is available (sold separately) which will allow mounting from a ceiling or wall under eaves.
The heater casing is stainless steel which prevents rusting or corrosion caused by the weather, a Robax® high emissivity safety glass front, plus a 3m lead so that it can be wired into an electrical circuit, which Inviron’s A Class electricians can install for you with a switch, located in a convenient position.
